ICAS, 21 Haymarket Yards, Edinburgh EH12 5BH

Session on Tuesday, Feb 28, 16:30
» Where on timetable

In the first fringe event, we are providing a platform to share examples of successful internal mentoring and coaching from organisations across Scotland. You will hear from three diverse and innovative schemes – about the opportunities, individual and organisational benefits, practical and ethical challenges associated with running and developing these schemes.

- A virtual mentoring scheme provided by members for members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland across the world – Andrew Penker & Vikki Douglas, ICAS

- Mentoring Connections, the internal mentoring scheme of the University of Edinburgh which is open to all staff but targets women, leaders/managers new to working in Higher Education and the UK – Frances Grebenc & Kirsty Robertson, HR & OD (Learning & Development), University of Edinburgh

- Scottish Coaching Collaborative, the innovative cross-public sector coaching scheme which brokers internal coaching across participating organisations – Helen Carlin, Rowan Alba & Jess Dall, Scottish Parliament.

You will have a chance to share your own experiences, dilemmas and questions around the use and development of internal mentoring and coaching with your fellow participants. There will be some time for questions to the speakers from ICAS, University of Edinburgh, and the Scottish Coaching Collaborative. Towards the end of the session, there will be time for networking and informal discussion.
